EVA Air - airline information
General information
EVA Air is one of Taiwan's biggest airlines and it is based at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport. It has a fleet of over 50 planes and flies to Asia, Australia, Europe and North America. EVA Air was founded in 1989 and it is owned by the Taiwanese Evergreen Group - a conglomerate that owns hotels and various transportation firms. EVA Air was Taiwan's first private international airline. The airline also has a domestic and regional subsidy called Uni Air.

Destinations
Most numerous destinations served are in the far east: China and Japan primarily, but the airline also flies to South Korea, Kaohsiung (domestic) and Cambodia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam in Southeast Asia. Other countries on the list are: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, the UAE and Australia, Canada and the United States.

Fleet
Consists primarily fo long range aircraft like the Airbus A330 and the 747 and 777 Boeings. The aging MD aicraft will be retired, but no replacement orders have been placed so far.
