General information
Mexicana is Mexico's leading international air carrier and it is part of the Star Alliance. The company plays an important role on the Central American market. Mexicana is concentrating on serving the Americas, exploiting the tremendous potential of the tourism there. The airline is the 4th oldest one in the World, established in 1921. Recently Iberia Airlines and wanted to buy Mexicana and Aeroméxico, but the idea was rejected by Mexicana's owners.

Fleet
Mexicana previously owned MD, DC and Fokker planes, now its fleet is exclusively built-up of Boeing and Airbus jets. Types used are: Airbus A318, Airbus A319, Airbus A320 and Boeing 757, Boeing 767.
