General information

Qatar's flag carrier and one of the very few 5 star airlines.

It is based in the city of Doha and operates flights to over 80 destinations around the globe.

Qatar Airways is a new airline founded in 1993 only and has already surpassed the notoriety of many European and North American airlines. It has a modern fleet and reputable services.

This airline will be among the first companies to introduce the famous Airbus A380 Super Jumbo.

84 destinations are served. The great majority of them are in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Major cities in Europe are also served, in addition Houston, New York, Washington D.C. and Melbourne in the USA and in Australia, respectively.

The biggest number of destinations where Qatar Airways flies is in India. 11 cities are served there.

Qatar Airways isn't part of any alliance (as of late 2009), but there were speculations that the carrier might team up to be part of the Star Alliance.
