Officially in Portuguese it is SATA Internacional - an airline based in Ponta Delgada, the Azores Islands (belonging to Portugal).

Flights link the islands between them and also with the Madeira Islands, mainland Portugal and some European and North American big cities.

The airline has a small fleet of 7 and operates primarily long haul flights.

The parent company is Grupo SATA, which also owns a similar airline called SATA Açores. SATA International or SATA Internacional and SATA Açores are different carriers.
