Air Comores International was the biggest airline, launched in 2004, but has went bankrupt in 2006.
Comores Aviation Currently the most important airline in the country. Comores Aviation is based in Moroni and flies to the following locations: Anjouan, Mohéli and Moroni within Comoros, Dzaoudzi (Mayotte), Antananarivo and Mahajanga (Madagascar), Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania).
Various other carriers The most important carriers that fly to the Comoros are: African Express Airways (to Mombasa, Nairobi, Zanzibar), Air Austral (to Dzaoudzi, St. Denis de la Réunion), Air Madagascar (to Majunga), Kenya Airways (to Nairobi).
