Domestic flights Between the islands it is a popular way to travel by plane. There are multiple small airports and air strips interconnected. Many are not even recognized by IATA and ICAO, therefore do not have such codes.
International flights Mostly between Papeete (the capital) and nearby countries. Very good connections to New Zealand and Australia. But some airlines will take you as far away as Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo.

Operates exclusively long haul flights. Flies to: Papeete-Faa'a Airport (the base and hub), Auckland, Los Angeles, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Sydney (seasonal), Tokyo.
Various other carriers At Papeete you will meet airplanes belonging to Aircalin (flies to Nouméa), Air New Zealand (flies to Auckland), Air France (flies to Los Angeles, strangely to Paris it doesn't!), Hawaiian Airlines (operates to Honolulu), LAN Airlines (flies to Hanga Roa and Santiago de Chile).
