Gibraltar plane tickets & flights

Still part of the UK, yet it is located on the southern tip of Spain, just across the Strait of Gibraltar.

This tiny autonomous region is rarely visited by tourists outside of Spain or the UK.

Most travelers arrive by car or bus or by cruise ship.

Flights are scarce, but if you're travelling from far away, then it might be a good idea to look around a bit.

Mostly from the UK and Spain. Many of them are charter or seasonal. There are very few scheduled flights.

In 2009 there were flights to Manchester, London (Gatwick and Heathrow).

Destinations, major airports in Gibraltar

A single airport is located in tiny Gibraltar. It is crossed by roads, it hardly fits on land, in fact much of it extends into the ocean.

There are times when the airport isn't used, then cars drive across the runway. Then the cars are stopped to allow the jets take off.
