Small airline in the hands of the large TAP Portugal.
Sometimes this carrier might be called PGA or Portugália or PGA Portugália, but must not be confused with another subsidy of TAP, which is called PGA Express.
This carrier has has a fleet of small ERJ-145, Fokker 100 and Raytheon Beach 1900D airplanes.
PGA Portugália was granted with the "Best Regional Airline in Europe" title by Skytrax. It has held the title for several years. In 2005 is was considered the second best airline in Europe. Also by Skytrax.
Despite these titles earned, the company has an aging fleet. Especially the ERJ-145 planes are overused and will probably be replaced.
The carrier flies to the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, France, Italy, Morocco. Multiple cities are served within France and Spain. Portuguese domestic destinations are: Faro, Funchal, Lisbon and Porto.

SATA Air Açores is part of the Grupo SATA from which SATA International also takes part. The 2 carriers are separate and due to the similar name, logo and the looks of airplanes are often confused.
This is a regional airline from the Azores, based at Ponta Delgada's airport in the Azores.
