The further you fly, the more your plane ticket will cost, so how can you reduce expenses when travelling to faraway destinations?

If, a low cost airline flight can cost as little as several dozen dollars and a short haul economy class flight several hundreds, then usually a long distance economy class flight is around 1.000 - 2.000 USD.

Try to find the fastest, shortest route (if the airliner flies less, the fuel costs will be lower and this might reduce your fare price too)

Try indigenous carriers (those based in the departure country and those based in the destination country, they should be cheaper)

Try reaching your final destination by flying to its secondary, less important airports (they usually have lower fees)

Rely primarily on travel agents, consolidators to find you a cheap flight (they have more connections than a single airline)
